The Political Ecology of Water in X-Disciplinary Perspective
Although the origins of the network are rooted in the social sciences, the research and practical problems that we address necessarily require the incorporation of the natural and technical sciences. In this session we discussed the opportunities and obstacles that we face to break through disciplinary enclosures and develop X-disciplinary academic cultures. We use “X-disciplinarity” to point at the need to transcend ongoing debates about cross, inter-, multi- (or pluri), trans-, and pos-disciplinarity.
Coordination: Leandro del Moral, Department of Geography, University of Seville, Spain
